Kris is the author of the The Balance Archives and a new young adult science fiction/fantasy series, The Lodestone Trilogy. His professional resume includes an abundance of managerial skills which are useful for paying the bills and raising a family. He spends most of his free time doing restoration projects and enjoys cars, jeeps, motorcycles, Airstream trailer and anything else that he finds cheap on craigslist.
Writing has always been a passion of his and he gives his family credit as the one who gifted him with his love of reading. Long ago on pre-teen day full of sorrow and angst they gave him his first fantasy series to cheer him up. Those books along with a myriad of many others grew a passion for fantasy and science fiction that has driven him since.
Left Hand Black, Book 1 of the Balance Archives is his first novel and was written over several years practically one page at a time. Over various lunch breaks and in-between moments when kids were sleeping and there was a moment of quiet in the house the characters were created and the story unfolded.
