K.L. Jardine is an author of fantasy and speculative fiction, creating stories that explore extraordinary worlds, unexpected possibilities, and characters whose lives are changed by forces beyond their understanding.
His work spans the darker supernatural universe of The Balance Archives, including Left Hand Black and Mustang in the Desert, and the imaginative young adult adventures of The Lodestone Chronicles, beginning with Just a Little Spark.
A lifelong reader of fantasy and science fiction, Jardine began writing Left Hand Black in the quiet moments between work and raising a family. What began as a story written one page at a time grew into a larger collection of interconnected worlds and characters.
When he isn’t writing, Jardine enjoys restoring classic vehicles and bringing forgotten machines back to life.
For him, both writing and restoration begin with the same idea: seeing possibilities where others might not.
